To find a fish
You do the miles.
Catch the fish
and earn the smiles.
Lord, allow me to catch a fish, so large that even I,when speaking of it afterwards.........May have no need to lie !!!

Re: Yarra river report!
Macquarie perch are a medium-sized fish, commonly 30-40 cm and 1.0–1.5 kg. Maximum size is about 2.5 kg and 50 cm.
Introduced to a number of waters south the Divide, but now persisting as self-supporting populations only in the Yarra River and Wannon River.
On light tackle they do provide fun on the Yarra once you know where to look for them.

Re: Yarra river report!
Yeah I never really target them just bycatch. I fish the Yarra as it's close to home n when it's not cod season I only really use worms n the maccas love em. Or corn but I find worms work a lot better
