Where can I get onto some reddies fellas?

Im in Chirnside Park and looking for somewhere within about a 30-45 minute drive. Sugarloaf for me has been shocking and i've pretty much given up on it, i might give it a few flicks when some warmer weather rolls around.

Lilydale lake probably has them, although fish seem to be pretty thin on the ground there. Brushy creek isn't far from Chirnside Park and might have them, although carp are more likely. The Ferntree Gully quarry being discussed in the other thread has them. The Yarra isn't far to the north of Chirnside and I've caught redfin there before.

That could be your problem, I've seen a few people mention that they are mostly active during the day. I never caught on at the LaTrobe uni lakes until I went during the day.

i was waving the fly rod around for a while but all the fish were interested in a plastic thrown at the snags
