I never caught on at the LaTrobe uni lakes until I went during the day.

Re: Fishmagnet's Carp and Redfin Thread
I have fished in waters containing redfin during the day and well into the night...targeting anything with fins. I have never caught a decent size redfin after dark, however, I have caught very small ones well into the night. Me thinks that in these cases the small fish are that plentiful when a school of them passes by one will inadvertently yawn or something and become foul hooked.
Generally when the question is asked 'do redfin bite after dark' many people say no and so do I in regards to decent size ones. However, I was amazed this week on FB to see a guy who targets them after dark with success!
cheers
Jim

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
