Wendouree is a great spot for Reddies! Always hear good reports from there. I've never been there myself. But I will be there soon!
Yep.. That's me you see out there... Freezing.. In my boxers.. Courageously wading through that ice cold water... And yep.. That's my lure!

Re: new fella
Welcome mate,
I'd recommend Auravale Lake with a pink tassie devil for starters lure fishing, doesn't really get any easier in my opinion.

Re: new fella
Hi
I am from the Maldives and moved to Australia two months back.
I do a lot of Saltwater (trawling, popping, casting, jigging) in the Maldives.
I am totally new to fishing in Australia and would like some pointers from the pros here.
I live in Glen Waverley and am interested in freshwater fly fishing.
Any suggestions?

Re: new fella
I'm in Glen Waverley as well Shareef.
No idea at all about freshwater fly fishing, but there is a fly club up near warburton somewhere that is probably a good place to start.
As I already said Auravale lake, which is at the far end of Wellington road is FULL of redfin and a good place to flick some lures around.
I've also had recent success in Rowville on lures, and the Tim Neville Arboretum on bread.
