Took the hobie out today, pulled up at black rock and chucked a squid jig in and i saw about 10 squid fight over it.. caught one and went for another and didnt see them for the rest of the day.. I was a little confused :S did they they scared or were they smart?

Same thing happened to me at Frankston last year. I put it down to a tide change and water conditions changing after that?

I've had days where they are doing nothing then the sun comes out or wind changes and they start to go off.
