Re: Fish ID
The thicker stripes point to a Zebra fish for me.
The Ludericks I've seen have thinner stripes.

This x1,000,000. It's not needed at all in this day and ageecoronad wrote:PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you do not know what type of fish you have caught, take a photo and release it back into the water. Then post the photo for your enquiries. Ignorance is NOT a valid excuse.
Do not kill and keep something that you cannot identify. Quite simply, you could be breaking the law or worse still, if it's poisonous, you could put yourself and others in serious jeopardy. (puffer fish - toxic, gurnard perch - spikes, blue groper - protected species, grey nurse shark - protected species silver perch - protected species in rivers of victoria).
Just my 2cents worth for today.
And it's a zebrafish not a Luderick. Similar fish but different as canned_tuna pointed out

I once had that opinion, but steam it and you'll be licking your fingers all the way to the next session... :thumbsup:Lightningx wrote:Zebra fish are good eating mate but not the wrasse.
