They catch plenty of these in NZ, where the water temps are below those around Victoria, and they've been caught just offshore of the heads in the past, so I don't see why not...

My mate got 1 2 years Ago in my boat off Barwon Heads there not as colourful down hear or as big that's definitely up north I'm saying

Yeah it pissed down most of the day and was freezing. Anyone who went out in victoria would of been rugged up. Not trying to get a tan on their arms. Maybe frostbite...
