What rod / reel combo were they catching them on vinhii? Were they spinning lures or bait fishing?

All i wanted to know. Thank you haha. I clearly saw that is stated they can grow to 33lb but wasn't sure how they would know this if the biggest caught was 19.
Also it's a line caught reccord. Pretty sure no longline usage and other commercial gear.
So a 33lb one could h e been caught in a net at some point.
