That was a good day at Point Peron Rockingham.
First light and last light are the times to be there.

Mindarie and Ocean Reef marinas are up that way (Joondalup).
Worth a flick or 2.
Two Rocks if you want to go a bit further.

Yanchep Lagoon I heard talked about a bit too. Popular with the Tailor fisho's throwing stickbaits at first/last light.
Never fished it personally but worth a look around.

If you let me know where you are staying I can help you out with what's close to you but here's some places to start.

Fremantle - South Mole from the beach to the end of the mole and the rockwall at Fremantle Sailing club (op Scott St)
Coogee Marine- Rockwalls are close to good weed beds
Woodmans point - Between the boat ramp and the Rcoky point along the point.
Point Peron -All around point Peron, just keep moving and you'll find them.
Hillaries boat Habour - better at night
And most jetties and rockwalls you come across will have them at night including the lower ends of the river (unless they get good rain then stick to the coast)
hi westfish

how's salmon hole doing at the moment, are they there yet? :fish11:

cheers

Big School are around but still hanging ofshore from the last report I got.
Shouldn't be too far away.
Was an awsome run last year with school hanging around the Metro area for months.
Landed several 5-6kg models out from Woodies point.
Thanks for the infos WF
Hopefully they're around next week
Cheers

What gear do you use WestFish to spin for salmon that size? Would the standard 4 - 8 KG 9 foot surf rod with a 4000 sized reel handle them?
