Surfers Paradise

Post by wem21 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 5:58 pm

HI guys!
The family is going on a trip to Surfers Paradise, and of course I need to bring the rods along. I was just wondering where to fish there, looking to target bream but also anything else. What rigs should I use? Where should I go? Are there squid there?
Cheers

Probably finding a qld based fishing forum would be the best way to get loads of info. Might also find out close fishing locations you otherwise wouldn’t have known about

The canals are full of bream...if you throw a slice of bread in, it's like watching piranha. Also quite a few flathead, mullet & bull sharks.

Off the Spit, the bar and the big jetty beside the spit, will be good for a wide range of species.
