Just back from a week on a houseboat at Weipa with 9 others.
A fabulousness experience ,it's a different world up there.
Around 20 species caught with numerous bustoffs of critters we never got to see,I was seriously out gunned a lot of the time but it didn't matter, the excitement was intense. Great fish feeds, cold beers ,lots of stingies and biteies, sharks, crocs ,sea snakes you name it. Would not have missed it.
This was second trip to the Top End,last one at King Ash Bay near Boroloola.
If you ever get the opportunity grab it, unforgettable stuff.

Getting keen, less than two months to go! Spent an easy $500 on gear so far with a little more to go ;) lots of fun and honestly can't wait
Cam
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

Nah just boat hire owned by the same people who own the accommodation, but they've lived there for 37 years so they know there spots and are happy to help out :)
And plus nice to stock up the arsenal hahaha

There's nothing like taking your own gear and landing some good fish on it.
Good luck on the trip mate. Take lots of photos only way we can get in on the excitement too.
Or just take pat with you and let him do the report hahahahah..
Cheers

Be aware of weight restrictions particularly extra costs for rod tubes
