Those baits will work fine, when they mention livies it is usually salmon trout/baby salmon at 21-25cm. If possible to run two rods per person, fish one with a fresh salmon fillet/squid/mullet and fish the second with a livie but keep it a distance away from other rods so that it cannot tangle up in the surf. If in doubt, head into the Salt Creek Roadhouse and they'll sort you out good and proper. Always had a good time down there and the fishing is just a bonus really.
