every thing i caught spinning was on a gen black. The squid on a wicked weasel (I find its easier to cast jigs with) and everything else on an itchy twitchy.

Well done mate. Now the itch begibs for bream on lures.
Was good of you to meet up with meppstas too. And some nice trout on fly gear. Had a ball by the looks of it

Brilliant report and photos Alex, and it was great to catch up and meet you and your family. I'm really glad you gave the Mersey River a go and finally got into a few wild trout.
