The little Nullica Estuary to the south is full of flathead year round.

Don't know about the flathead, but love Eden
People at the wharf will tell you where to go (nicely)
Not as "commercial" as Merimbula, more laided back.
I used to fish (lb) the cattle bay jetty, with great success
Believe it might be a resort now, was an old tuna cannery
Cheers Gra

Ps - My information is nearly 16 years old, how time flies
My out-law's moved out in '02, so things may have changed a bit.

I think there was a guy on here that did a trip up there about same time last year but had trouble finding them.
It was the buy that camped his way up there with his boat. Anyone remember?

I know at bermagui i allways try closer in around 30 to 40mt marks of water befor heading out to the 6mile reef.
