PB Tailor - EDEN, NSW
Had some insane fishing the past weekend , topped by this fabulous pair of Tailor off the surf on a lure.
Chased them down on an incoming tide. Had heaps of fish . Even jigged for salmon of a naval wharf and caught 4 salmon, landbased, vertical jigging . That was awesome fun.
Rod: Nitro Sniper
Reel: Pelagic Tribe Conquest 5000, from a small Indian manufacturer. Mates own the company and sent me one to test out.
Lure: Happy little Gillies Silver Pilchard 40Gms changed to Singles.
some decent sufix braid and a 40lb Fluoro Kato Leader.
Happy days .

Lx was crazy! they really ripped off . Strangely the bigger models showed up only in the early hours under the cover of relative darkness. Before the smaller tailor /salmon showed up on the incoming tide. Found this to be consistent over 4 morning sessions .
Always at the entrance of the gutters. Never in the middle.

Thank you These were by far the best fish of the trip . I had quite a few and did a quick release on most of them.

Cracking pair of fish!
I used to fish Eden a lot back in the 70's but haven't been there for years now.
We used to get a heap of Tailor at the the old fish cannery wharf. Don't even know if it's still there these days. Their used to be some stonking big bream live under that wharf too!

Most people who did their annual Eden-Merimbula-Tathra trip came back empty handed in the last few weeks. It's nice to see somebody who caught decent fish there as there wasn't many caught according to reports. Well done!
