Replacement Shimano Rod Piece

Post by drewb » Sun Mar 15, 2015 6:00 pm

I was walking the dog down at Balcombe Creek this arvo and found a shimano raider bream 762 rod sitting on the bank with the top section snapped off. The bottom section was still in good nick apart from being a bit dirty.

I've never had to replace a section before, anyone know how much it would roughly cost to get a new top piece?

Cheers.

Buy one. Take the broken one in a week later with the receipt and claim under warranty?

Otherwise it's probably not worth the cost

i broke the top off a rod once and the fishing shop in rye sold me a replacement from a different rod for $10

might not be perfect fit but better than nothing

I snapped the top section of my rod that I got for Chrissy and just took it down to the tackle store and they gave me a top section off a different rod for $5 and glued it on for a total cost of $10. can't tell the difference between before and after other then the rod being slightly shorter.
