Emerald in the sun - yesterday

Post by ChrisD » Mon Jun 20, 2016 2:01 pm

For a Melbourne Winter morning yesterday was a great one.
My daughter and i hit up Emerald Lake for a few hours and soaked up the sun.
One nice 27cm Rainbow to show for the session - taken on trout nuggets and returned to the water to get a little bigger.
First time I have actually fished this lake/dam and found it a nice little spot......although I am not so keen on the $6 parking cost

If you have a fishing Licence parking should be free in my opinion..

I had the same thought - but then again it depends who the park is provided by and who maintains it.
Nice park and all, but I still don't like paying to use a park or go fishing.

I wonder if it's all ready been stocked for the holidays?

Having to pay for parking to go fishing would annoy me also.

I have the same issue with some of the beaches round the bay - if I have to pay to fish I normally just drive on.
I made the exception for Emerald yesterday as i had never fished it and wanted to try just once.....also wanted to see Puffing Billy come in :)
