Post by Magikarp » Thu Jun 13, 2013 9:39 am

Hey guys,

Me and a few mates are going on a tuna charter in portland next weekend and I was just wondering if anyone has any reviews on these guys. I've never been on a charter and I hope these guys do a good job

Thanks

I've never been sea sick but if it's going to happen it'll be then. A mate has gotten some of the prescription motion sickness tablets and ginger tablets. My family eat lemon wedges with salt ands that seems to work also so I'm going to take a few just incase. Thanks

I have been on and off boats since I was about 11, mostly small tinnies.

When I went out on charter at Portland, sea sickness simplly did not happen

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

The other advice I can give going by the fish Wolly caught at Portland is hit the gym and do some weights before you go you gonna need your strength if you guys get luck and hook onto some Tuna

Oh good advice,

I only caught a little Tuna last month, but had a sore bicep for 2 days :o

Have a great time on the charter. Make sure your skipper trolls a lot, that's why your paying more than a standard charter where they anchor up a lot.

Cheers Amanda
