Fishing charter recommendations

Post by 4liters » Sun Oct 04, 2015 2:53 pm

A bunch of mates and myself are thinking about organising a fishing charter in a month or so, can anyone suggest a good company? I'm think WPB might be the preferred destination but we're pretty open to other locations.

Thanks

Glenn from Classic fishing charters, it is worthwhile just for the meal. He slow roasts a marinated piece of beef, so that whilst you are fishing your mouth starts watering just at a whiff of that beef cooking. He leaves out of Warneet.

Phil from Real Adventure, nice big comfortable boat, he departs Yaringa

Give Glen a buzz, a group of us from the forum went out with him 2 or so yrs ago and enjoyed it.

How many on the boat?

One of the better charter operators out there for actually learning not just being cattle is Shaun from think big. It's a smaller charter boat suiting a max of 5-6 people but you can book the boat and choose your species. Been fishing with Shaun half a dozen times. Great bloke and great operator.

It'll be about 10-12 people I think, a bigger group should keep the costs down (we're all broke uni students).

Any of those mentioned above should be ok, they may be busy or booked out already though, being cup weekend.

If I wasn’t working before our Doon trip, I’d be keen to join you on one.
