Catana 902 and Sedona 4000FD

Post by Lost Pom » Wed May 14, 2014 3:58 pm

As the title suggests. Got a bit excited in Anaconda today!

Went with the intention of looking at the Starlo Classix 902 and a Sienna 4000 to match. Shimano deal (25% off) ends on Friday I think. Walked out with the Catana and a Sedona!!!

Pumped to get out on the Rocks or down the Gun this week and get some practice in before Reeves!!!

Catana's obviously get good feedback.... Anyone got any info on the Sedona? Feels "reely" nice

Great choice mate, never used a sedona but it'll be perfect. Grab some 25 and 40g slugs and hit mt martha at sunrise during these NW winds, you *should* get onto some fish over the next few days.

Will be out this week for sure. Unsure of braid strength atm. Somewhere between 10-15lb is obviously my best bet.

Best options on braid? Power Pro is also 25% off atm.

I've got a 2500 sedonna and I have punished it, I can't fault it one ioata, it has been superb.
I'd recommend 15lb braid, also powerpro is the go. And grab some 20lb leader, either fc or mono, and some metals and you are set.
Tight lines = Good Times!

Yeah, nice purchase pommy. Good luck with the Sambos. I will have to drop into Ana and see what's on offer in the 2000/3000 size reels. Want one to go with my Shimano Beast Master 702 rod (for whiting/SP's) i got on special not long ago from Complete Angler ($29). :gone:

10 is ample. 16 or 20lb leader, sorted.
