Actually didn't look as I don't have a credit card. As they are only available here in Oz I assumed they would not be that cheap online.
thanks

As silly as it sounds Jim they didnt have any green 30lb fireline,i wear prescription sunnys and with the tint & polarised lens i have i find green so much easier to see,its goin on a trolling rod and was only a few $ dearer & bright green. The old fireline was about 5 year old and faded to a yellow/white colour i couldn't see it anymore.

So although I normally Head out on the boat, I've been spending a lot of time land based at the minute. Here is my kit that weighs in at about 5kg, that is set up for garfish to bronze whalers (not sure why but lol)

The box includes: Balloons in bright colors, two home made sand sinkers, lighter, crimps for mono and wire. 12lb, 20lb 40lb, 60lb leaders, 175lb wire trace, plyers, crimping plyers, and long nose plyers along with braid scissors.

In the Plano box, which measures 27.5cm x 18cm x 3cm I squished in
a 1.5 and 3 yozuri jig, a whole bunch of D.O.A minnows, a soft vibe, two small poppers for whiting, a berly puppydog for bream, 6 or so metals, sinkers..swivels, the usualy. I just added split rings, and crimps, as well as 4/0 circles. Added jig heads for the smaller grub and small baitfish plastics (blue and gold).
I Had some 8/0 hooks but lost those on some huge rays at rye.

I never ever leave home without this and my rods and reel, if I'm heading down along the yarra or to st kilda ways.

with it I have a okuma taurino 6'6" 3.5kg 4 piece rod as well as a shakespear, 12' surf rod, that fit into a back pack.

Off topic, I bought a few more metals and changed the hooks and their position,

the bottom three have the hook on rear, and the top three clearly, have it on the front. I changed the hooks from trebbles, so I'll have to see how they go.

the snap swivels are there just to show the tow/retrieve direction.

Picked up a couple of these to try. Have used them before without much luck but from memory used them when nothing was working. Want to try these at night for trout (because of the color). They do a great 'spotted dog' pattern as well. I don't see that many of these lures in Vic stores but plenty in NSW. Check out the name of the Benalla tackle store on the price tag.
