with the next salmon comp just around the corner, if I want to have the slightest chance of beating Carl, I need to ensure I will land the big ones. I need tough tackle. I am upgrading my lures.

Re: Show us your purchases!
Oh the new technique of hooking the fish from the anal fins, through to the mouth, as you retrieve your lure? I must get onto that, so what, do you just sight a school, throw it past and retrieve as fast as you can, potentially hooking 6?Fish-cador wrote:with the next salmon comp just around the corner, if I want to have the slightest chance of beating Carl, I need to ensure I will land the big ones. Re: Show us your purchases!
on that note I did buy a small popper for whiting, cause I lost my other one, I also bought some snnaplock swivels and a few 8/0's for the occasion. I was queried about it but insisted I caught whiting on this setup.
But seriously. new popper too, just didn't have the packet, threw it out before I even got home, was that keen.

Thought I'd try one of these new wax wing shimano lures. They reckon they're the ducks guts. We'll see. Also got a stumpjumper surface lure and an Oar-gee for the cod. In my favourite Murray colour PURPLE!! :victory:
