That’s great service.Those split ring pliers definitely come in handy :thumbsup:

they cannot open micro split rings like those used on trout lures.
i have those same pliers, they are good though and can open bigger split rings, not the smaller ones.

I just used them an hour ago P5 changing a few trebles on the Rapala lures & a GagaGoon lure and they were okay, these are the micro pliers, they worked better than the small tweezer ones I have.. The split rings on the lures I use probably are as small as I have any way so they'll do okay.. just hope I don't have to change too many trebles as it's a pain in the butt job, I often finish up with a treble hook stuck in a finger and have to rip it out with the pliers as well...

ahh thats interesting, maybe they have changed the ends of the pliers then, mine doesnt fit into the smaller rings at all. i have to use the tweezer type one on all my smaller stuff, i have all those 3 pictured as well

They may have change them too P5, I bought the large set (RHS) sometime ago not realizing how large the were..

Have never used them at all as they're just way to big for the lures I use.. even the small tweezer type are too large for the split rings on the GagaGoon & Greedy Guts lures as well as my small Daiwa lures... I used to use a fine blade pocket knife once to open the small split rings which worked well.. trouble is I have large hands and it makes it quite awkward when fussing around with small trebles & split rings etc..

i have a daiwa petite split ring pliers that works on most small lures


they can be a bit fiddly sometimes, but have worked for me always

the middle one you have i use for all my other stuff like bigger hards and offshore stuff.
larger one ive actually never used yet.
