a bit late for a reply but I have this reel paired up with Xzoga Mastery S100H2 for surf casting. While the reel is an awesome and good looking reel, I hate the drag. It's got an additional bait runner drag that limits main drag's travel and makes things a bit cumbersome.MsShimano wrote:

Thanks for your input. I think I'll stick to the talica or get a tiagra so many options. Such nice reels.
Of course I talk to my self while fishing.. sometimes I need expert advice! :fishing:

A handful of cheap/discounted hardbodies to cover some freshwater fishing- the exxy ones I have I hardly fish and when I do I'm fishing them too safely. @$5ea hopefully will be throwing these around with a bit more confidence and less stress about losing money to the river.
