Warneet jetty

Post by rohan201990 » Sun Apr 27, 2014 3:09 am

Hi all,
Went down to Warneet jetty last night between 7pm to 1am chasing Jewies, wasn't good enough to and one had a good run but only for it to spit the hook  haha, but managed a good feed of king George getting 8 whiting all around 40-45cm best bait was squid, had the big run on whiting head.

Hey guys I was just using a 4lb running rig for the whiting sinker running down to the hook with a little bit of squid on there, I was up the end of the longer jetty and to the right down on the floating bit casting about 15m out, yeah it's a bit of a pain in the backside all the boats, I'll get the Jewie next time might have to take the tinny out, good luck for the weekend guys

I've read good things about warneet jetty, seems tho you need to chose the right conditions and time, I've had it on my places to visit list, but I've been so time constraint of late it keeps getting pushed back ! the older I get it seems the less time I have to pursue my first love ... fishing...

I had a walk down there with LadyK and the dog the other day. Looks like the tide runs pretty fast and there is a fair bit of weed around. One guy flicking squid jigs with no success, a few stains on the pier but nothing fresh or significant really.
