Re: corinella pier 29/9
I used to catch a lot of rock cod from the mouth of the Yarra - they seemed pretty tasty to me!

Hey Liters I've tried rock cod out of curiosity, it's actually not bad ! a very delicate flesh so be gentle when filleting it, floured and fried to a light golden color and salted to taste... people usually just follow general consensus on one opinion, not me.. I try everything for myself, rock cod is ok in my book.

I'd agree with that. I've only tried it the once when I got a decent size specimen and it was fine, usually they are too small to be friggin around with.hornet wrote:Hey Liters I've tried rock cod out of curiosity, it's actually not bad ! a very delicate flesh so be gentle when filleting it, floured and fried to a light golden color and salted to taste... people usually just follow general consensus on one opinion, not me.. Certainly eaten worse fish - probably none worse than the tropical sooty grunter.
