We went out both days at around 5am from warneet.
Saturday was a perfect morning with little wind and warm. We headed to our normal spot at yaringa channel in 3m of water and fished the shallow. The bites were consistent until the sun hits the water and then the toads come out to play. We found the whiting bites a bit more timid on both days. We ended up finishing at around 9:45 to be back at the ramp with enough water to retrieve and we're quite happy with our bag of 10 kgw ranging from 33 and 1 that's 40cm. Back at the ramp we met another fellow Fisher whom bagged out from middle spit and gentle Annie.
On Sunday we did the same but facing a bit more wind heading to yaringa. Got our quick 10 before sun was fully up, then it wall went quiet. We moved to the quail bank hoping for more but the wind picked up and plagued by toadies. So we thought if fishing gentle Annie, we have never fished there before so had to just pick a spot mid way through the channel on the west bank and sit it out . By that time wind was gusting 15+knots and current was in full flow carrying a lot of weed. We preservef until 10and called it quits to get back to the Warneet ramp with enough water to retrieve. The ramp was amazingly quiet for a Sunday morning. We were quite content with the 10 kgw and one 45cm sand flattie.

I had a pretty similar experience out of hastings on Sunday. How hard was the wind blowing! It was still relatively flat on the water though.
