Most of the creeks and inlets around Westernport are swarming with those little buggers.
The rest of the time you'll be getting small mullet, trevally and even smaller salmon.
Rays, banjos and other bottom-feeders are also there. I've also heard stories of the VERY
occasional mulloway, flattie and whiting, although I've never caught any of these in a
couple of decades of trying!
One way to hooks less toadies is to use small strips of slated pille or bluebait, rather
than squid or pippi. They don't seem to like it as much.
