Newbie to area

Post by Aceballbreaker » Sun Jan 11, 2015 3:56 pm

Hey guys, looking for some tips on where to fish when we head down to san remo tuesday arvo. Taking my son fishing for his first time, somewhere fish friendly, not fussed what we catch, any tips on tides also. Staying for a few days.
Any suggestions would help
Thanks in advance
Rich

welcome to the site! San rem pier goes allright for squid on the change of tide. I find the shallows generally fishes better than the end. Hope you and your son get a few and hope to hear back with a report after your trip
When I got time,
I wet a line cos Im a junkie,
been fishin since a kid,
I like it cos it numbs me..

I saw a pic on FB of a nice snapper-(approx 3-5kg) caught from cowes a couple of days ago but its not indictative of the fish you're most likely to catch there. There are often good runs of squid, floathead, couta and mackeral depending on whats biting. I havent fished cowes recently so cant give you any recent first hand experience.

Thanks nude, sounds like that might be our first stop.
Wow I'm impressed by the replies, other forums dedicated to other things, you wait days,
sometimes weeks.
