Thursday Night / Friday Morning

Post by DougieK » Mon May 05, 2014 12:25 pm

Both look ideal, with recent talks about dropping water temperatures I'm thinking I might hit the back beach at Gunnamatta and see what happens.

Not sure which i'll take, high tide thursday night is perfect timing, but I prefer morning sessions, will play it by ear, might even do both.

The conditions look pretty good, after all this rough weather hopefully there is some structure over the beach.

Many salmon. All on blue bait. Didn't get a hit on spinners but just as I was leaving a guy landed one.

Is there a chance that more sun could have worked in the favour of the spinners?

There were 3 dudes to my far right fishing a shallow bit with what looked like trout gear. Had I not had my hands full with fish I would have gone over and helped them out but the action was pretty thick for the first hour.
