Well in regards to helmets there are a few rocks around so would make sense. And also lots of slugs and heavy sinkers to dodge lol.
Today I did both. But didn't go far from baited rod. I saw a few guys walking with lures up the beach. I caught the one with the sitting Pilchard

I was the one with black backpack, black sweat shirt, shorts and black baseball cap.

Brett was the one with huge belt bag, shorts, barefooted and fishing with a young gentleman. The young gentleman is the one teaching Brett how to fish. :)

I do both.
Ill burley up
Ill put surf rod in sit awhile and set up the lure
On the other rod.
Ill use 8lb braid this time for fun :)

Can get pretty dangerous for them down there

I'm joking. A while back a dude on here told a guy he was going to die if he wasn't wearing a life jacket while beach fishing a beach on the Bass Coast.
