PB 60cm Salmon 4-6-2017

Hi all, what a beautiful morning for a spin session at the Gunn....fished 2 hours, from first light 7am to about 9.15am...Fish Cador and Bay Rock where there also plus a few other spinners and some bait fishos..Most of us got 1 or 2 Salmon..Cador the nice bloke he is got i think 4 fish and gave them away to fishos who had donuts...Myself i got a PB 60cm thumper close to 2.5 kg...my other one went 48cm....released a 3rd Salmon at 30cm...my 3 Salmon all caught with a gillies silver 40g metal lure...cheers for now.....

Nice fish...

It's also worth mentioning that if you bleed (and gut) a salmon immediately after capture, it improves the eating qualities.

If you leave them tied up, wafting in the surf - like in your photo, it also acts as berley :-)
