Was that this afternoon?

Your son must be over the moon.

A baito landed a monster this morning. It registered at 5kg on the lip grip scale.

Yeh, this evening FC.

well done to your boy Brett. that fish would have stretched his arms a bit!

I like longer rods myself. A 9'6" or 10' rod works better with my lanky frame i think

I took the young bloke down for his first salmon session, figured he can cast a squid rod, should be able to hoik a slug far enough.
Didn't do any good on the walk down for a while, then I started hooking into a few, only they were a bit far out, so I'd cast 2 rods then pass one of to him, he got a couple of little ones 30ish cm. then the fish moved in close, so I left him to cast himself, while I got smoked by a monster :(
Then I see he had hooked into something decent himself, so I stood and watched him try to battle with it, rather than have a tanty I stole his rod for the last bit of the landing and beached it for him.

Let's have a bit of fun. Biggest (longest) salmon posted in this thread wins the below lures. Both used once and have just been sitting in my tackle box. Duration: one month from the start of this thread. Pic on brag mat required
edit: vic fish only, because jeremy

Does Brett's sons fish count, if so I'm sure he'll appreciate the lures.
