Post-easter Gun Run?

Post by AnthonyC » Sun Mar 20, 2016 7:37 pm

My brother and i have the week after easter off so will be in rye for that week, planning to have a few land based runs at piers and beaches. Anyone interested in throwing some slugs or bait out? Or know what days that week look good condition wise?

Haven't checked the tides but wind-wise Tuesday and Wednesday morning this week look good, for the time being at least. For post Easter there aren't any forecasts yet that I'm aware of, and at this distance I wouldn't trust them anyway.

You can get a very easy to read 7 day wind and 4 day swell forecast here: http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/meteye/

I'll probably come down if i can. The salmon should be hitting in the next 3 weeks or so.

wind not looking great mon - wed, southerlies forever on the forecast and im not too keen on casting into the wind for 3 days....might do some pier fishing instead. everything else (tide, rainfall, swell) looks great though so if wind is more favourable thurs or fri or the forecast for mon-wed changes ill be heading down.
