Spot on Poodoo, it's probably the main reason spinning will outfish baits 90% of the time, IF you do it properly. If you're gonna stand there and fish in one spot consitantly, you may as well bait fish. Go and find the bloody things lol..

Much more fun lure fishing and going for a walk anyway and waiting for that lure to just stop in its tracks.....

I finished fishing and left them biting. Had more success in the dark after sunset as opposed to in the morning. Thats just my experience.
Thanks! I had wondered because an arvo/evening session of spinning followed by bait soaking into the night for gummies sounded like a solid plan so ling as the fish could be caught reasonably reliably at those times.

No, but so far it's as close as I've got to getting a salmon in the surf

When a large salmon hits the lure in the surf thats what the take feels like before the strike and head shakes lol

Thx heaps for all info. So probably hit it on tues or wed, N wind is ok isn't it. I gonna try at high tide 4am till sunrise or 4pm till sunset :). Hopefully can hook on some
