Spot on Poodoo, it's probably the main reason spinning will outfish baits 90% of the time, IF you do it properly. If you're gonna stand there and fish in one spot consitantly, you may as well bait fish. Go and find the bloody things lol..

Much more fun lure fishing and going for a walk anyway and waiting for that lure to just stop in its tracks.....CarlG wrote:Spot on Poodoo, it's probably the main reason spinning will outfish baits 90% of the time, IF you do it properly. Re: Gunnamatta tomorrow
Thanks! I had wondered because an arvo/evening session of spinning followed by bait soaking into the night for gummies sounded like a solid plan so ling as the fish could be caught reasonably reliably at those times.poodoo wrote:I finished fishing and left them biting. Had more success in the dark after sunset as opposed to in the morning. Thats just my experience.4liters wrote:Cheers! Handy to know. Did the fish stop biting after 1/2hr after sunset or did you stop fishing?

No, but so far it's as close as I've got to getting a salmon in the surf
