Sometimes timing and some luck is everything. A mate was there yesterday middle of the day and the school was visable in the water mid tide with diving birds.

Yestreday around 11 birds were diving from Hampton to blackrock...

Is there much difference with using Treble hooks and single hooks on lures? I've been catching it on treble hooks no issues but wondering how much difference is it to a single hook

Trebles are a pain, when the fish takes the whole treble into its mouth.
Singles are much easier to dehook and get the lure back out

I have a personal preference for trebles when the fish are 30 CM and below. My 2/0 singles are too big for their mouths and you can feel the taps and bumps, but no hook ups....
