It's been slow the last month or so. Sometime in the next 4 weeks it should explode again.

fingers crossed i can get down there when it does. Want to get back so bad but don't have the time to be the one who finds out whether it's firing or not each week.

What size rod and reel do you guys use there? A traditional surf rod size or a bit smaller?

9 foot rod 4 - 8KG - Shimano Catana is the standard. A 4000 sized reel, braid 10 - 15 lb and leader 15 - 20lb.
