I'll be down at jan juc on Saturday morning with the same plan we will have to compare results. Just wondering like a few of you guys I have a 9ft catana with a 4000 solstace Iv got it spooled with 10 pound braid how far can you guys throw a 40g slug?

Depends on your casting technique. If you haven't used one before you're doing a great job if you're 80-100 out.

Roughly 90 to 100mtrs with a favourable wind is what you'll be looking at..big tail wind can mean over 120..
