Fishing Gunna/Rye back beach in anything other than N/NE?
Hi guys,
Is is even worth venturing out there is the winds are anything other than North/ North East prevailing? I am thinking of heading down Saturday with South west winds for a dawn fish...am I wasting my time entirely?
Has anyone caught on these beaches when the wind is other than N/NE?
Thanks folks,

Don't bother Saturday mate. Sunday arvo is a possibility at this stage, but onlyba possibility, see how long it takes for the swell to die down..henryalasdair225 wrote:Hi guys,

Thanks folks,
You can fish in other wind directions, if it's under 6 knots or thereabouts.

As above, don't bother Saturday, swell will be huge.
It's still likely to be overhead surf on Sunday too.
