Apollo bay/Sugarloaf fishing
I live 15 minutes out of Apollo bay, and don't have too much luck. Does anyone know some good spots. I live on the Geelong side of Apollo bay, in Sugarloaf. I would love to get onto some snapper or salmon, so I would appreciate the help.

I reckon the best bet would maybe be surf fishing, definitely along that coastline for the salmon.

If you’re land based, I got 2 salmon around 45cm last Sunday on cut pilchard from the pier. They came on the bite just on sunset around 8.30pm. Few others caught fish around the same size all within a 5-10 minute window. One of the resident seals stole a fish or two to add to the excitement.
Took my kayak out on Monday and caught 9 keeper flathead in the bay drifting near the first yellow buoy, so very shallow water.
If you enjoy rock fishing, get an iso rod, an inflatable life jacket and some rock fishing shoes. You will catch heaps with a running float off the rocks along the GOR.
