Hi Folks, new to the forum and first post :a_goodjob:

Have spent the last 6 months falling back in love with fishing after a fairly long hiatus. Used to go quite regularly as a kid but stopped almost entirely as full time work took over all my spare time.

Heading down to Port Fairy for the Australia Day long weekend with the GF and her fam. Will be there from Thursday - Sunday and looks like the weather is going to be awesome.

For those who have fished there before/often, where's good to fish land based? I've got a few light-medium spinning rigs, one heavy(er) spinning rig and a light surf rig. The tackle box currently has a few different size soft plastics, metal twisty lures and a few different hard bodies as well as the obligatory squid jigs.

Thanks in advance!

Moyne River mouth for bream, trevally and mullet. You can pump fresh yabbies from beach nearby. If you're willing to travel a little bit back towards Melbourne, the Hopkins River at Warrnambool is also good - mulloway, bream estuary perch commonly found. Places to try there are the mouth of the river near the boatsheds and bridge, further upstream there is a jetty next to the caravan park.
