Fishvic Portland Tuna Trip - The Lost Barrel - New video

Post by purple5ive » Mon Apr 24, 2017 4:22 pm

Gday Guys, you seen the report now watch the heartbeaker video.

the video starts with 4 litres(ian) on the fish, ian and chrisabout (chris) took turns fighting the fish
i was driving the boat most of the time so all the footage is just the cabin bar these snippets.
lots of shitty commentary from me, cause all i could do was offer moral support and drive loll, luckily or should i say unluckily i have the exact moment the line popped on video...
you can see colour in the video a few times and the fish is around 5-6m deep as the highest point we manged to get it.
skipper also hallucinates a few times in the video hahaha, must havebeen the adrenalin....
Thanks to Ian and Chris once again for making the trip a memorable one
WARNING - Lots of swearing so dont say i didnt warn you......

i have a slomo of when it popped for those who cant wait - 5.40 is the timeline you want

as always comments, feedbacks etc much appreciated, so i can improve on the edits in future.

Edit - i only just realised due to some unknown reason youtube has somehow clipped the edges of my video which means you cannot see the leader acually letting go. i have replaced the video and uploaded it again, and now its all good so if you want to see it again then watch the video at timeline 5.40, look at the far right corner and you will just see the tip of the rod and the line letting go

cheers

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Man thats good quality video. Really nice indeed! Thanks purple5ive
I was just getting over it though lol

I've taken the first steps to improvement already. Respooled both reels with 60lb mono and 120lb topshot. Now I just need the Tiagra
