Great report and even better catch!!

What size circle hooks do you usually have on and how do you set up your line?
I mostly use size 5/0 with twisted paternoster rig with the 2 branches a minimum of 30cm long and 50cm apart. 60lb tough trace about 2m all up. This set up is my goto out front of barwon heads, yes they can roll up the rig and possibly break off but I find if you let them have the runs then go aggressive and keep there head up and never allow any slack line I don't run into this problem.

ez sliding sinker rig above the swivel with clip removed and 30cm of line hung with snapper sinker. 1.5m of leader to a single hook 6/0 to 7/0 depending on bait size. Never noticed any catch increases with double hooks snelled so I don't bother.

I spend the extra time on bait presentation. plenty of hook showing and laying nice.

Please don't hesitate to ask any more questions if required and happy to send some pics of the exact rigs in private messages if needed.

Tight lines stay safe

Great stuff, nice gummies.
Reckon it's a bit early for tuna/king?
Charters don't start kingfish til Jan or even Feb.
It's all to do with water temps
