Torquay report for 02/03/19

Post by Matty H » Mon Mar 04, 2019 6:58 pm

Early launch at first light in prime conditions. Fished from off fishos all the way down to bremlea, bout 2 kms out. Tried trolling n live slimeys n yakkas but no kings. Got 2 nice arrow squid without really trying, then worked hard through vast numbers of 27cm pinkies for 6 keepers. Bit of excitement when my mate was briefly connected to a thresher, he has renewed big fish enthusiasm now! Back in 12.30'ish, home in the pool by 1.30....

That's great good on you.
I had a cabin at Jan Juc and took my boat down a few times but I never saw the beach like that !
I always chickened out and launched from Barwon mainly due to weather but also it's only ever me and the missus and she's not so confident either reversing the trailer or commanding the boat. The little half cabin fit under the Barwon bridge but now I've got the centre console that won't fit. so sold the cabin
