Mulloway typically take off like a steam-train on the first run (at least on surf), without much head-bangin'...

Yes, definitely a mulloway in my view - a long, unstoppable run, with few head shakes, and then they turn and run in a different direction, with head shakes towards the end.

Just my opinion mate. Looks like a Ray any day of the week to me. Only way I can see that being a Mulloway is if it’s majorly foul hooked. Didn’t see a single decent head shake in that whole video.

Some really big rays live in that area.Pulled 10ft rod straight off the bank and cruised off with it. 75cm flathead are around but I am not sure if they move that far up.
