Luderick is very nice - white firm flesh. Excellent in the barbie, lemon and soy sauce for dip with some chilli. ahhhhhhh heaven on earth.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

what bait do you use for luderick? I only get this thing as bycatch when using squid strips.

I use sandworm, the same bait I use for breams. Usually catch both breams & ludericks in the same spot too.Fish-cador wrote:what bait do you use for luderick? I only get this thing as bycatch when using squid strips.

Yes, sandworms is the common bait for them on a small hooks, but I also saw some people catch them on seaweeds, not sure how but it worked

I am gob smacked Breamster, that is a trophy that will give a taxidermist a heart attack, definitely worth getting mounted, what a monster. :o
Reckon it may be time for you to fish heavier tackle, knowing your past record, I reckon you would better the fish shown
Mate, I reckon it would be worth coming down without any gear, in order to fully concentrate and watch and learn how you fish.
Maybe you secretly soak your worms in a secret curry mix, similar to the curried chicken for trevally!
Tight Lines, and a top trophy.

I definitely don't mix my worms in any secret mix, they are better fresh & alive.
Mate, there is nothing special about how I fish. Just put the bait on hook & cast, then wait patiently.... Luck and patient is the secret here.
