Nice day in breamlea

Post by vipboy21 » Tue Jun 30, 2015 8:18 pm

Hi every one, after look up raylong tackle report, I went to rays outdoor to get a catana 902 combo with solstace 4000fl combo for $139 then head to raylong and pick up some lures, 1 of them is sea iron. After the talk to a friendly staff I head down to breamlea beach, weather was nice with light wind and sunny, arrive at 10.45, high tide was at 10. After rigging up i start right at the stair and walk toward the rock. After 30mins of casting, my arms started getting tired then I decide to get a last cast before walking back to where I start then "bang". Something hit the lure very hard and I got a chance to test out the new drag  , smooth as :sun: . To be honest this is my very first salmon with this if of the beach so got a little worry. After 5 mins with the help of surfs I finally get it in, couldn't believe in my eyes, it was double my feet length, left it on the beach then cast back to the spot right away but after 5-6 casts there was nothing so I decide to flesh it for dinner :hitit: . Then i tried another half an hour but nothing came up so I decided to call it a day and back up. Was a very nice day today but probably I miss the tide so definitely try it again next week.
Sorry coz my English is not very good.

Those sea Irons are fantastic and utterly indestructable. Literally a sliver of stainless steel with a hook on the end. Fly like a bullet and come with a single already attached.

Surf spinning is awesome, welcome to the darkside.

Thanks every one.
Yes ur right dougiek, sea iron is really nice lure, help to cast further, I hooked the fish on that lure as well. By the way I forgot to mention, it was 52cm long and after gutting its 1.2kg. It was grilled and wrap in rice paper roll with salad and dip in Asian style fish sauce, everyone loves it, nice and fresh salmon :)
