Fished Purrembete on Friday evening 16th December I was the only boat out caught 6 rainbows and 1 brown the best went 1.8kg a Rainbow on Mudeye at the Black Beach Eastern end of the lake.

Yes indeed, Maree the caretaker took a photograph of the 1.8kg Rainbow she is sending it to Freshwater Fishing Magazine, the Geelong Advertiser and the Camperdown Courier. Never know might get my photo in the press.

They are in fantastic condition and they pull hard too! We were in 6m of water approximately 30m from the shore line. :woohoo:

well done jim. nice pics. can lake purrenmete be fished from the bank as i dont have a boat and looking for spots to take my grandson.
