Picked up my first couple for a long time last night. Two mid 60's fish on fly and lost a bigger fish that I didn't land. Can't upload pics for some reason so for now here's a link and I'll have a better go at it tomorrow after my exam. Carp report

Headed down to the creek tonight after work in the fading sunlight behind my old alma-mater. Just like last time, the Carp were schooling and 'on the bite'. In my haste when the float bobbled up-and-down on my old Aldi special, I stomped all over the reel and bent the handle quite severely. I managed to straighten it back into some sort of working order, but it still doesn't feel right. Even though I only landed one, I was a little unlucky not to walk away with several Carp, as I had many bites, but was unable to hook them. This warmer weather has definitely fired them up a bit, and I feel as though I am rediscovering my mojo and that a multiple Carpio haul is not too far away!

Headed down to the creek tonight in warm and humid conditions. I got one in my 'new local', but it went a bit quiet after that. After I had packed up, I decided 'maybe I should try this (another) spot for 5 minutes'. Sure enough, my float bobbed up and down within a few minutes - a nice little carpio and my first multiple haul this season! Just as I was about to take a photo, my phone died. I couldn't believe it. Not wanting to hear the old 'pics or it didn't happen' line I took the extraordinary length of taking the bloody thing home, waiting for my phone to charge and then taking a photo of it!

Things are finally starting to warm up down at the creek!

I reckon I have the same Aldi special but I have yet to get it wet. I will try it down the nong.

And your reports are a step above the average cornacarpio, a step above. Great stuff.

There we go, not sure why they didn't upload in the first place. The two fish went 64 and 65.

Nice size. Would have been fun on the Aldi combo.
What bait do you use under a float?
