I wont be able to make this one. If I can get away on this weekend I will be chasing big green monsters in the Murray.(and probably catching carp). :fishing: A shame coz these days are great! Good on ya SLOTZZ you're a gun.

Out of interest who are you speaking to at the council GTS Hoon?
I used to work in the area and know that the council offices are not great for help, you may have better luck talking with the guys at the council depot.

Yeah I am in talks with the council office, they seem to be fairly supportive, but I will hopefully find out over the coming week.
I've changed the topic name so now it's a bit more specific

Arboretum *spell* in boronia is chockers full of carp in both lakes, some good sized ones and loads of tiny ones.
Awesome playground!!!!! Best in area for sure!!
BBQ facility's, toilets.
Yrs ago when I was young it was much cleaner and loaded with yabbys.
Now it's just carp and they need to go!!!

I've personally not seen carp at Patto. You might get bream though .. hmmm maybe not if its sweetcorn as bait .. lol

Anyone knows if fishing is allowed at Caribbean lake? Its a great place to bring family.
Or across Stud Rd from Caribbean are the 3 small "lakes", Cogley, Sutton and Hill. Not sure of the carp situation there currently.

It would be more of an unofficial event where someone says they're heading down on X date and anyone else is free to join them I think

yes above the freeway the the fresh water side being the bottom of the dandenong creek it's fairly well stocked with them
the corse fishing guys run comps along that section from time to time

by the way I have fished there a few times and not caught any - that no surprise though with my carp catching skills
